We were in a rush to generate label art on our first canning run - an unexpected, particularly large order came in and we hadn't even bought a canner yet. As we scrambled to seam each can by hand with a benchtop seamer, we also scrambled to find an artist.

 

We couldn't find one in time, so I turned to the then brand new tech of generative AI imagery. We received a very positive response, so we kept rolling with it. Most of our can art was generated by me in Stable Diffusion and then modified in GIMP.

I'm careful to make sure we're not copying anyone's existing artwork and I maintain an open invitation to artists so that we can eventually replace AI with a human. Until then, I hope you enjoy the following labels.
